Your Energy Signature

Hey Friend,

What a thrilling week! I got to be back in Atlanta with my great friend Cathy and her Talent Team. This is my 6th year working with them which keeps me expanding my content. We've done a lot of creative things in-person and virtually that have stretched me and them. I love the depth of relationship that comes with consistency. Life and business all rolled into one.

I also got new tires on my car this week. I live in the tundra. My sedan doesn't have four wheel drive. It has snowed twice this week, plus with last weekends snow, we have around six inches on the ground. I got the best rated "all season" tires and now I think I'm driving a jeep. I have great confidence on the road, which is fun.

Also, my wife's birthday was this week. A lady she was chatting with assumed she was 10 years younger than she is. She felt great about that! Don't we all feel good about being presumed younger? Why is that? What about youthfulness is so appealing? Or the reverse, what about aging is so undesirable? I like getting older.

Granted, my wife is naturally gorgeous and retains a youthful glow that will remain with her all the days of her life. You may be fortunate that way too. The rest of humanity works hard to appear younger. Some of it is combatting wrinkles, but an equal aspiration is the display of vitality, vibrancy, vigor and verve.

VENDETTA

Monica and I were on a call this week with our PR team and one of the ladies said she stopped fighting against her hair graying. She literally said it gave her a "freedom." I've heard similar conversations before. Efforts to rebuff the body's deterioration over time is a futile vendetta that limits us. Real freedom comes, as always, when we accept and live aligned with truth.

Yet our hearts are full of eternity so we feud with the ultimate coming extinction of our own light. Our existence warrants a consideration of purpose. Since we shine, shan't we determine to continue to shine? Isn't it just like Americans to focus on the exterior, rather than the interior, when attempting to extend our illumination.

MINDSHIFT

What if this week all of your beauty care routine was applied to your spirt and soul, instead of your face and body?

RADIANCE

What gives someone radiance? That kind of light that from a distance is a north star and up close is a warming glow? It's our energy signature. I'm regularly referred to as a "high energy" guy which sounds like an external show of exuberance. It can be. But more so, I work really hard for that voltage to come from an internal source that expands the splendor of others.

The duality of my energy signature is I want people to feel lifted optimistically while simultaneously feel the burden of responsibility. All energy flows between a positive and negative terminal. I'm not a physics guy, so I'm totally riffing, but I know you and I are drawn to that kind of expression of others brilliance. Not surprisingly those who use their light to shine on others are the most magnetic.

MINDSHIFT

What if this week you utilized your energy signature to spotlight someone around you and cause them to shine just a little brighter?

SPARK

The self preserving nature of humanity wants to hold tightly to our vitality. As mentioned, even prolong it as long as possible. I'm sure it's the history of my life submerged in faith, but I'm convinced the best way to prolong our lives is to give it away. Instead of hoarding, generously serve others. Instead of fighting for what we want, fight for the justice of others.

When we feel at our darkest place, igniting light in others is the fastest way for us to regain our own spark.

Youthfulness has a lot going for it. The zeal of ignorance is a beauty to behold. The sheer force of possibility seems unstoppable. The energy signature of zaniness mixed with daring is compelling. Let's encase that in wisdom and experience and convert it to making birthday wishes come true for others. Despite your external bout with time, your internal richness is a great gift.
